Pro bono is shortened from the Latin term “pro bono publico”, meaning “for the public good. It is professional work that is undertaken on a voluntary basis, and without payment. While it is voluntary it is using legal skills and knowledge for the benefit of those in need and who cannot afford professional legal advice or representation.

We at Maxim Law Chambers work in partnership with local advice centres across the country in order to identify the most deserving individuals and provide them the best quality legal advice free of charge under our pro bono scheme.
